Former Pearl Jam drummer, Dave Abbruzzese has two warrants for his arrest in Denton: one for possession of a controlled substance, and another for a failure to appear on a manufacture or delivery of substance charge, the Denton County Sheriff's Office confirmed.
While Abbruzzese's possession charge is for a Class A misdemeanor, the drummer could face a lengthy prison sentence on the second charge, manufacture or delivery of substance. Under the Texas Health and Safety Code, this offense is a felony, punishable by five years to life in prison.
Denton Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for any information that leads to the arrest of the 46-year-old drummer.
David James Abbruzzese, born May 17, 1968, was a drummer for the American rock band Pearl Jam between 1991 and 1994. He was the replacement for the band's drummer Matt Chamberlain, shortly before the release of Pearl Jam's debut album, Ten. Abbruzzese went on to play in the band's next two records, Vs. and Vitalogy.
Abbruzzese married his childhood sweetheart in September of 2006. He currently lives in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. His arrest warrants are in line with a statewide initiative, the "Great Texas Warrant Roundup," which begins on March 7th.
"If we knock on your door, you are coming with us," Corinth Police Lt. Carrie West told the Denton Record-Chronicle. "We have a lot of warrants out."
